Private investigators for companies and corporate clients.

If your company needs independent facts before a decision, Private Detectives Corporation (PDC) carries out corporate investigations, business background and due diligence enquiries, and fact-finding into internal or employee concerns. PDC’s London correspondence address is 43 Berkeley Square, Mayfair, London W1J 5AP, and we handle enquiries in the UK and internationally; tell us at the outset where the people, assets or organisations are, so we can confirm what can be done there. Every instruction starts with the decision you need to make and an agreed, written scope.

How we can help

Independent fact-finding for business decisions.

PDC has provided investigative services since 2003. For companies, that work typically supports a specific decision: whether to proceed with a partner, acquisition or supplier; how to respond to a suspected fraud or an internal concern; or whether a debtor or counterparty can be located and has identifiable assets.

Due diligence and background enquiries. We help establish which parts of a counterparty’s account can be verified: corporate history, identified business connections and inconsistencies in publicly available information. This adds a focused factual layer to, and does not replace, the financial, tax and legal due diligence carried out by your advisers. See business background checks & due diligence.

Employee and internal concerns. Where a concern involves an employee, we scope the work with your HR or legal adviser from the start. The aim is fair fact-finding that considers information supporting and challenging the allegation. Disciplinary findings and employment decisions remain with you and your advisers. Read first steps when workplace fraud is suspected.

Fraud, disputes, tracing and technical work. Depending on the question, the work may involve fraud enquiries, witness accounts, debtor tracing, asset enquiries, bug sweeping (TSCM) for business premises, or authorised digital examination. Wider detail is on our corporate investigations page.

Before paid work begins you receive a written quotation. Where appropriate, a staged instruction lets you review the first findings before committing further. If your organisation needs a purchase order, supplier onboarding or a particular invoice reference, tell us at the start. Our registration details are on the company information & verification page.

Plain answers

Questions you may have.

Can PDC investigate a concern about an employee?

Yes, as independent fact-finding scoped with your HR or legal adviser. The enquiry should establish the relevant facts fairly, including information that may support a different explanation. Access to accounts or monitoring needs a lawful, proportionate basis, and employment decisions remain with you and your advisers.

What does PDC’s business due diligence cover?

A proportionate brief may examine corporate history, identified business connections and inconsistencies in publicly available information. It is not a financial audit: your accountants and legal advisers handle financial assurance and transaction advice.

Where is PDC based, and where do you work?

PDC’s London correspondence address is 43 Berkeley Square, Mayfair, London W1J 5AP. It is used for post and correspondence; the easiest first step is a call, an email to info@pdc.org.uk or the enquiry form. PDC handles enquiries in the UK and internationally. Tell us where the people, assets or entities are at the outset, because what can be done, and the records available, differ by place and by country.

Can our solicitor direct the investigation?

Yes. We can discuss the brief with your nominated legal adviser, who should advise on any confidentiality or privilege arrangements needed for the matter.

How are costs controlled?

You receive a written quotation for the proposed instruction before work begins. Where appropriate, the work is divided into stages, with a review before further enquiries are commissioned. See fees & payments.

Is PDC registered with the ICO?

Yes. Zookx Limited, which trades as Private Detectives Corporation, is registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office for the data protection fee under reference Z9409141. The registration is current, with a renewal date of 16 March 2027. See our company information and verification page.
