An article syndicated across several newspapers and websites this week featured a survey from Gleeden.com, a dating website which specifically caters for married people looking to cheat outside of their relationship, which suggested readers could spot a partners potential for infidelity by the perfume or aftershave worn.
If you are interested in the surveys results: Shalimar (Guerlain) followed by Coco Mademoiselle (Chanel) were the most popular scent used by women on the website and for the men it was L’Homme (Yves Saint Laurent) followed by One Million (Paco Rabanne).
Given these fragrances are amongst the best selling in the UK it seems probable that they are also appreciated by at least a few dedicated monogamists and are not a sure-fire way to identify a cheating partner.
At the Private Detectives Corporation we have a lot of experience in personal investigations relating to relationships, cheating and to infidelity. While we can positively say we have never identified a cheating husband by the scent of his aftershave we have noticed a few key patterns that occur in many if not most of the cases of infidelity we are asked to investigate.
Changes in routine are by far the most common reason for suspicions to arise in a relationship, with unexplained or unsatisfactorily explained absences being one of the key things people often mention first when contacting us about their relationship. Other things which are common are for our clients to find their partner has become remote and uninterested in them themselves and often that they have taken up other interests which take them away from their existing relationship and/or home life regularly.
While there can be many different reasons for all of the above we do find that when a client contacts us because they believe their parter is cheating on them, some if not all of the above are often mentioned and also that people with such suspicions do tend to be correct.
Here at the Private Detectives Corporation we do understand that taking the decision to contact a Private investigator when you have suspicions about a loved one is never easy whatever the circumstances but we are very experienced in this area and treat each and every call with tact, sensitivity and complete confidence.
As someone with concerns about infidelity contacting a private investigator it is also important to remember that you’re not alone – a recent survey in the legal sector noted that private detectives were employed in half of the divorce proceedings undertaken in the UK, as wives or husbands tried to establish whether the spouse was having an affair or acting suspiciously.
So it is far from unusual to contact a Private investigator for a personal or relationship related matter.
We have a wide variety of methods of investigation we can follow depending on our clients suspicions or their partner, husband or wives behaviour. We believe, ultimately, our service is of benefit to both parties as living in an relationship full of doubt and suspicion is no way to continue.
